Walk for Health - Speke Garston Coastal Reserve

July 1, 2006 - The first event to take place at the Speke and Garston Coastal Reserve. Organised by loads of local groups including the Ramblers and PCT, the event attracted between 150 and 200 people to enjoy a walk across the coastal reserve.

And here's a picture to prove it! These are the 'brisk' walkers... soon to follow were the cyclists and 'health' walkers...

The red stones (shown in the distance here) had recently been modified to say "land of the mud men". But who are the Mud Men of Garston? Any ideas? I have seen previous efforts of the mud men - also stating that "ozzy rules!" Posted by Picasa

Anything a little odd here?

Allo, Allo

The Gambia, March 2006. A child from a remote village chases the weekly truck safari heavily laden with wealthy western tourists. Perhaps his only chance of an education. Taken at the point he has given up. Maybe next time. Posted by Picasa
